Can a regular boat trailer be used for a canoe? - used canoes in fredericton

Seeking carry a canoe and put in the water as easily as possible (as the children are too young to) consciousness. I thought that (cheaper) regular supporters could with a tire of working for a boat, a boat ramp to be changed. Anyone?
